Fairy doors

Fairy Door thanks Rosie for the link and instructions
These cute little fairy doors can be bought from the site i sourced from but what about trying to make one of your own.

Using these pictures as a guideline - No 1
(toadstool door)
you will need

1. a block of air drying clay or oven baked clay
2. sharp craft knife
3, cake drying wrack
4. paints of your choice.

start by cutting the block of clay into a quarter and put the rest away for now.
roll out your clay to around one half inch thick, gently carve out a toadstool shape.
Now make an unturned u shape to for the door only cut right through on one side and slighty at the top of the door.
leave to dry or bake.
Paint up as picture or have fun making your own scary toadstool.

No.2 fancy trying this with some frozen lollipop sticks ?
Once again roll out your clay to one half inch thick , about one half inch from the edges make a little incision and gently lift out the clay from within the arch.put aside to dry.
using about 6 lolly sticks place side by side and using a pencil draw the door arch, use tape on the reverse to hold the door together, paint and decorate to suit yourself or copy the picture
when the clay is dry, paint up the surround and place your door in position you can use a glue gun to secure.
anything goes so start keeping old bits of lace and beads from jewellery it all helps and store in your shoe box make; for your next project.
